It is obvious that the situation in Jammu & Kashmir has deteriorated significantly between last year and now, with the army and police fighting Pakistan-based jihadis and stone pelters with their backs to the wall.Many observers blame inept political management by the Centre for the widespread alienation of people in Kashmir Valley (but not necessarily people of Jammu and Ladakh), making restoration of normalcy very difficult.
We have been here before in 2010, in the 1990s, etc but this time the shift in public mood is qualitatively different.But it is not merely the result of poor political engagement with Kashmiri aspirations. A key new element is covert Chinese support to Pakistani mischief in Kashmir."
He explained further, "While the Chinese claim to have been miffed over the Dalai Lama's visit to Tawang and Arunachal Pradesh, and have now given Chinese names to places in that state to buttress their territorial claims, the reality is that the dragon is keen to have the status quo changed in Jammu & Kashmir too. Reason: large parts of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir are critical to its new China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), including land access to Gwadar port in Balochistan.
Without the covert Chinese go-ahead to Pakistani aims in J&K, it is doubtful if an economically and politically isolated country would have dared change the game in Kashmir Valley. "
IMQ is seriously concerned about the growing situation where the big part of neutral Kashmiris is persuaded rather forced to go against the national establishment by the alien forces in a cohert relationship with the separatists as well with few political leaders in opposition. These forces are hell bent not to allow the nationalist forces led by BJP-PDP government and the security forces to restore normalcy and development in Kashmir.
The objective of these alien forces need not much explanation, but one need to find the ways to counter their attempts while keeping in mind that to restore normalcy and to defeat these alien forces, we need first to restore people's trust on Indian establishment and our security forces by communicating the reality and taking an initiative to restart development work, without finding narratives on who did what.
Kashmiris including the people of Jammu and Ladakh had given their huge trust vote to Syed Mufti Mohamad of PDP and Narendra Modi of BJP in 2014 and 2015 elections and that simultaneously made the hardliners and soft liners as well big politicians in Congress and NC irrelevant and outclass.
The things were going nicely even a changeover of power to Mehbooba was managed with some hiccup on national interest terms, but later on few instances of compelling incidents including eliminating of Burhan Wani was allowed to lap on by these alien forces and the separatists to go out of hand.The dissenting and stone pelting Kashmiri youth were swayed away this time by one new entrant Islamic group to go amok against security forces.
Social Media readers have a lot of vision and energy to visualise the present deteriorating condition in Kashmir and work on suitable ways to restore normalcy by winning the trust of innocent Kashmiri youth there who are hijacked on every passing day by these anti-India forces under a malicious plan.
